How the latest runway shows are inspiring my winter wardrobe
Sunny brights, sequins & Royal Tenenbaums
Spring 2023 fashion shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris just wrapped and there’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to dressing for the warmer weather next year. Alas, I’m reminded of the perennial dilemma of the whole fashion week paradigm – namely, that the clothes on display will not be available to buy or wear for at least another 4-5 months.
For a hot second in 2016, designers such as Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger (among others) responded to this 21st century, social media era, instant gratification urge with “see now buy now” fashion show that enabled consumers to immediately buy what they saw on the runway. While these designers may have been ahead of their time, they definitely tapped into an impulse I experience EVERY TIME I see new styes hit the runway. That’s why I’ve highlighted a few of my favorite looks from the recent shows along with inspiration for sourcing and styling them during the winter months.

Sequins trousers sparkled on the Dolce & Gabbana runway and a very similar version can be yours if you head to The Outnet and snap up these beauties from Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini.
To complete the look with:

Alexis Bittar silver cross-body clutch (also this from Il Bisonte – Made in Italy)
